- Psalm 127 -
acrylic on canvas ( 1.20 m. - 1.00 m.)
"Unless the Lord builds a hous, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good. It is useless for you to work so hard, from early morning till late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones."
The man in the foreground has worked hard; the stones proves that he has been building. The staff indicates that he has also been on guard. The harp shows that he’s finally submitted in praise and worship to God.
But when he sleeps, God builds and guards instead. Gods’ work is above and outside our human efforts, indicated by the blue border. God is our Beginning and End; the Alpha and Omega.
